1. Parties
These terms govern the supply of services by AS Fire Services Ltd (Company No. 12389530), Unit 37, Bowen Industrial Estate, Pengam, Aberbargoed, Bargoed, CF81 9EP ("we", "us") to the client identified on the relevant quotation or order confirmation ("you").
2. Quotations
Written quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Quotations are based on information provided at the time of survey; material changes to scope may require a revised quotation, agreed in writing before work proceeds.
3. Acceptance
Work is deemed accepted when you confirm the quotation in writing (including by email), or by allowing access for works to commence. Acceptance forms a binding contract on these terms.
4. Payment
Unless otherwise agreed, invoices are payable within 14 days of issue. Larger installation projects may require a deposit, with the balance due on practical completion. Late payments may incur interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
5. Variations
Any variation to the agreed scope must be confirmed in writing. We are not obliged to carry out additional works without written instruction and an agreed price.
6. Access & site readiness
You are responsible for providing safe, timely access to the property and for ensuring services (e.g. mains power) are available as required. Abortive visits caused by lack of access may be chargeable at our standard rate.
7. Workmanship guarantee
Installation workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from handover. Manufacturer warranties on equipment (e.g. Hochiki, Apollo, Aico, Kentec) are passed through in full and remain governed by the manufacturer's terms.
8. Servicing & maintenance
Servicing is performed in accordance with BS 5839, BS 5266 or other applicable British Standards as relevant to the system. Servicing does not constitute a warranty against future faults.
9. Liability
We carry public liability and employers' liability insurance appropriate to our trade. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability under any contract is limited to the value of the work undertaken. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
10. Certification
Certificates are issued only on completion of works and receipt of payment in full, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
11. Cancellation
You may cancel a booked visit free of charge with at least 48 hours' notice. Cancellations inside that window may incur a charge to cover allocated engineer time.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
